Yandex launches YandexGPT-based AI assistants for schools and EdTech

On May 1, 2026 Yandex announced a new line of educational products built on YandexGPT, including an AI math assistant for grades 5-8 and a broader platform offering AI tools for students, teachers, and EdTech course authors. The math assistant guides pupils through problems with leading questions rather than giving direct answers and will roll out to over 6 million Russian school students from December 1, 2026. The platform also lets teachers and course authors upload materials and get AI-driven feedback for improving content.
