Cartesia launches Sonic-3.6 TTS, claims top Elo over Eleven v3

Cartesia released Sonic-3.6 on Aug 27, a ground-up rebuild of its TTS stack claiming #1 on Artificial Analysis leaderboards in both controlled and provider voice categories (Elo 1120 vs ElevenLabs Eleven v3 at 1066). It covers 61 locales including new Odia and Urdu, supports Hindi-English code-switching, improves accent retention in voice cloning, and returns sub-90ms replies at roughly 2x the throughput of v3 Conversational, with cloud, on-prem and self-hosted deployment via Baseten, SageMaker or Together AI.
