Anthropic launched Claude Duet on October 21, 2026, a standalone proactive agent app for iOS, Android and claude.ai that runs on Claude Opus 5.5 in its own cloud VM and browser, sends a morning brief and completes background tasks across 6,000+ connectors. It is a US-only waitlisted research preview for Pro and Max subscribers at no extra cost, sharing plan usage limits, and requires approval before sending messages, making payments, signing documents or deleting files.
