Tools official 2 src. ~1 min

OpenCode v2.1.0 (October 20, 2026) added persistent Windows PTYs and experimental TUI todo lists, with breaking changes that standardize provider replay data and move credential setup answers to metadata. v2.1.4 (October 23) renders MCP input forms across TUI, desktop and web for text, number, choice, multiselect, boolean and URL requests, and adds experimental background compaction.

Why it matters

MCP elicitation forms remove the raw-JSON step from server-initiated prompts, which is where most MCP UX friction sits.
