GitHub made GPT-6.1 Terra generally available in Copilot on 2026-10-26, positioning it for everyday agentic coding and terminal work at lower cost than GPT-6.1 Sol. It is selectable in VS Code, Visual Studio, Copilot CLI, the Copilot cloud agent, the Copilot app, github.com, GitHub Mobile, JetBrains IDEs, Xcode and Eclipse for Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise users, with gradual rollout, admin model-policy control, and usage-based billing at provider list pricing.
