On Aug 28 Zhipu (Z.ai) published open weights for GLM-5.3, a 753B-parameter MoE that keeps the GLM-5.2 base with all gains from post-training; the weights were promised two weeks after the Aug 14 API launch and briefly missed that date before the HF repos went live. The model card claims the most capable open-weights coding model: +50% over GLM-5.2 on Z.ai Code Bench, Terminal Bench 2.1 at 88.2, DeepSWE 66.9, and SOTA CyberGym 84.5 for vulnerability discovery, with controllable reasoning_effort; 22 community quantizations (llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio) are already listed under a custom glm-5.3 license.

Why it matters

weights of a CyberGym-SOTA frontier coding model are now public, shifting the open-source frontier to Zhipu
