Yandex Cloud restores access to 90.47% of customer data after data-center strikes

Yandex said on October 23, 2026 that access had been restored to 90.47% of customer data on Yandex Cloud following drone strikes on three of its data centers between October 8 and 11. Part of the data was moved to a new site that went live that day, and core services including virtual machines, databases, Kubernetes clusters and Yandex AI Studio are available again, with the remaining data to follow over the coming days.
Why it matters
It marks the partial recovery of Russia's largest cloud and AI platform from an infrastructure attack that took out capacity across the domestic AI stack.
