Anthropic merges Claude Chat and Cowork into one Enterprise experience

Anthropic made Claude Chat and Claude Cowork a single generally available product for Claude Enterprise, so a conversation can start as chat and continue as an agentic task in an Anthropic-managed cloud VM that keeps running after the laptop closes. Admins get network egress off by default, an Efficient mode restricted to Sonnet and Haiku, model entitlements, spend limits and pooled group budgets; Anthropic says Opus 5.5 costs about 40% less to run than Opus 5.
